I have to say I'm feeling much more optimistic after watching the latest Met Office forecast. I didn't think there would be much precipitation around on Friday.. but those snow graphics look pretty packed around our region. I know it's going to be hit and miss but reasons to be positive. Just hope Henry the hoover isn't chilling on the Welsh mountains.

Mine says cloudy for Friday and rain for Sunday ....boo hiss boo.

Experience would suggest that puts you in a better position. :ninja:

Here's the 06z Euro4 for Friday morning. All subject to change, of course, but you're not far off as it stand at the moment.

Still thinking the best chances for snow are on Friday. Hoping for some surprises, though may have to go to the Mendips to get a proper covering.

Not too sure about Sunday yet. Let's get Friday out the way first!

No chance of work here today but I will be doing overtime so I can watch the run come in before I nip off!

This thread might self combust if that slider slips further to the south and west!  Half hour to go I reckon 50 minutes till we know whats going on Sunday......until the next run changes it again!!! Great we are having these south west moments and its only the 1st week of december!!!!

I've dropped an email over to the Met Office to highlight their typo. I noted that in their error they had used 'cm' instead of 'snowflake'. They quite quickly replied and said "Thank you for you email, highlighting our error, we are unable to abbreviate this to "flakes" as many west-country folks will be expecting to see chocolate falling from the sky".

I guess their right...so flakes it is then
