1.2C, DP -6.9C. If some of those showers don't get this far overnight I think I shall cry!

another bone dry and cold day here...............i suppose there's an outside chance of a rogue flurry or two overnight from decaying showers drifting down from the NE,  but I won't be holding my breath

Here's something to throw in to the mix..

I was watching this and decided that it stood a chance of making it..

Lol @Mapantz I do think there’s a chance as the wind shifts do a more NE. Small chance albeit

Must be the day I woke up to this at my old house. Haven’t seen any snow since.

OK, so who in the Poole/ Wareham area is up for snow chasing? It might be a drive of 200- 300 Miles...but it could be as close as it gets this winter?

Oh no wait, sorry I have an early meeting in the morning, damn..

So this cold spell is biting hard in west country...

So far I think I managed a touch of frost but even that has been a bit patchy this week. Now looking mild and damp next week. :sorry:

Classic Southern UK winter then, damp & mild, oh well saves on the heating bills, if nothing else. With the way the world is changing (i.e. warming) even though people have suggested colder areas will occur, I remain unconvinced "yet" to believe that will happen to the UK, especially the SW area. Just my 2c..

Definitely up for a "pub run" meet-up bimble in the snow type thing one day. It's rare enough round these parts to be worth celebrating :cold::gathering::drinks:

Wasn't there speculation about the Gulf Stream getting weaker once upon a time? And that would mean the UK having a climate like Norway? That might be a tad much, even for me!

I was keeping an eye on the precipitation coming down from  London way! But think it starting to disappear as it hits the city. Might keep an eye on it for an hour or 2 ?. As for the weather late next week. I'm sure the models will turn again. They are all struggling with the scenarios ATM.

No luckily still in Mendip for moment but it has been cloudy each night up here so far and although it gets just below freezing it is never been hard frosts because of the cloud.

Tonight looks like the coldest night though as it is partially clear and dropped to 0c early tonight.

We have been lucky here then. Not that I have a clue if the actual temperature at my sensor broke and I haven’t fixed it! Really cold out there now though.. just walked to Morrisons and it was bitter!
