Well it topped out at 8c now seems to be cooling off ever so slightly. Still not convinced by upcoming cold spell that we will see any more than some frosty nights..

Maxed at 12°C here. Winds were gusting to 38mph this morning - not much rain. Currently 9.8°C and cloudy. Looks to be sunny for the rest of the week, but windy. Nothing wintry in the offing for here, just typical late-Autumn fare.

Tend to agree - but I'll enjoy the frosts! Nice to have seasonal weather for Christmas activities.

what a filthy morning that was. dropped my car off for it's service, decided to walk the 1.5 miles back home. No sooner had I left the showroom did it start raining, got soaked to the bloody core  Some funny white van man opted to drive through the puddle next to me instead of go around it, some swearing and sign language followed. Happy flipping Monday everyone. Spent the past 3 hours looking for hope in the models. meh.

I was just musing my data and noticed that this November is likely to have above average sunshine for my location. The next few days should bump the final total up higher than last  November -  that was above average too.

2017:

2016:

Met Office derived average is 81 hours. My average is 85.9 hours.

Odd day here. Kept trying to clear up but stayed cloudy despite frontal clearance.

Rest of the week looks unremarkable but nice and seasonal nonetheless. Ironically I doubt it will get colder than the inversion high this time last year when there were minima around -6/-7 and maxima around 1-2C.

With 250 sq mile pixels I remain unconvinced!

But you can already see the M4 effect in action, so it must be about right!

I see the M4 under yellow colours also, so remain unconvinced..

It amazes me how it can go from this:

to this:

And 0.2mm only falls..

5mm from that here. Got some sort of rain shield there? Must work as well as the storm shields spoken about on here.

In Poole at the moment. Lovely and sunny, a little chilly but not significantly cold. 8.3°C showing up on my station at home.

Sunny all day which has made it feel warm inside even if it isn’t outside. Currently 7.6°C.

I never understand all the wrist slashing and toy throwing in the model threads at this time of year! It's as if all some people want is a complete Narnia snow fest!

Surely a good starting point is lowering temperatures (both air and ground) under HIGH pressure and seeing as it's still Autumn anything more wintry is a 2010 style bonus!

Wonderful day today, give me this throughout winter and I'll be happy! And there's a definite chill to the wind.
