Winds should really start to pickup from around 4pm and peaking at around 10pm for my location, which coincides with high tide.... but I'm not sure it's severe enough to tempt me out and about...

Checking the SR forecast it suggests stronger wind into the evening up to around 10pm, rather than happening during the day.

OOp sorry Karl has already posted, but it is interesting to see the pressure falling away and yet the strength of the wind has dropped..

I know this app changes as frequently as the weather (lol) but check out tonight's forecast!

Met Office app shows heavy rain for the same time.

The word thunder was mentioned on the forecast I saw last night so you never know.

I can't tell you the exact wind speed I'm afraid , but it is now really starting to build up here in Somerset and I'm fairly well inland.

Clouds are scudding across the sky at a rate of knots and the trees and shrubs are taking a real  pasting .

Already quite dim and dark .

I managed a rogue gust of 43mph along with a wind speed of 21mph. The high gusts seem few and far between at the moment. Pressure down to 992.92 hPa

Winds really picked up in Stroud in last hour, same time as rain came. Gusty wind with constant background rumbling wind around the hills. Something rolling around outside, must go check...

14.7°C here. Feels really mild out there when sheltered from the wind.

The wind is really howling out there! No idea what it’s gusting but it’s very noisy!

That’s a long line of heavy rain on the radar.. didn’t think it was going to be this wet here.

The weather is conspiring to be as boring as possible today. Not a lot of rain at all as it has either broken up before here or generated after here. Plenty windy enough though.

Not much rain here at the moment but still windy and the temperatures rising again after falling briefly. 14.6°C.

Have you managed to get close to your wind gust record yet, matt?

No only 27mph here which is 7mph short of my record. I'd imagine I would if it was more exposed though.
