I see the Aperge is gathering some interest :shok: lamp posts at the ready people

Some sunny spells this morning, but mainly cloudy. Temp at 14.1°C
Looking forward to a rough spell tomorrow. Pressure looks to be down in to the 980's for most of the region.

re Fri & Sat - never interests me for my location. I have never had snow from these kinds of set-ups.

Another one of those days with no weather to speak of. Just dull and mild at 13.2°C. Hopefully something a bit more interesting coming up, even tomorrow’s wind is something before we get to any potential at the weekend.

THe positioning of that low has to be so spot on for this to happen down here. As you say, given our location and the fact the cold air is sooo far away as a source, I feel it's one of the unlikely events of this winter, cold rain and sleet at the best..

Might be a chance for those with a little elevation perhaps.. :good:

we need it to arrive at night or early hours like that aperge suggests for a chance.

I'm more interested in the strong winds and potential convective gusts tomorrow. I may head to Kimmeridge. :)

So, back on here after a while, and have been out of the loop on the weather, until I saw the alerts today. So strong winds heh tomorrow? Is this just a typical autumn breeze, and isn’t this more for up north?

It might well be.. but the MetO are forecasting the strongest gusts since February for my locale, and over quite a long period of time as well.

Yes, I. Am quite surprised too at the met office weather warning for my area . Tonight it is already have a little practice it seems in terms of gusty winds and sporadic heavy downpours .

Very mild tonight, 13.6°C and not looking like dropping much. Looks like we won't get near that during the day at the weekend let alone at night.

Yep about to say the same thing. Feels v mild and not a hint of rustle in the trees. I seem to get Irratated when there’s is storm brewing and all we get is mildness .. same with Storm Eileen .. very frustrating.

Do t think it’s going to happen but it’s so typical that the first possible snow event of the season is this weekend and I’m out of the country... I feel like Nights King when he goes on his annual skiing trip

Widely 50-60mph gusts going by that for mainland stations.

Quite a way inland as well.

It is mild out there @ 14C. The breeze is picking up, so this afternoon looks interesting, with the direction approaching S, it will keep the temperatures up at least. (Saves the ol' heating bills).

Certainly does. Love how the kites and buzzards are relishing the wwatjer and seem to be everywhere riding the breezes..

Breezy with the occasional stronger gust so far today but nothing that strong yet. Mostly cloudy with the sun coming through at the moment. 13.6°C.

Just not happening here.. really odd. The MetO forecast says it should be gusting to 40mph, with a wind speed of 20mph. The reality is that it's barely making gusts of 25mph. Since having my anemometer up at 10m, I have always matched what the MetO have forecast, so it is unusual.
