Two all-time station records for me today, wind run and wind speed. Top gust of 46mph. It'll be quite a while before the wind run record will be beaten again.

For here, the storm was overhyped, winds were 20-25mph through the day with gusts of 30-35mph.
Early rain yesterday and a little drizzle through the morning, just 5.8mm yesterday, most of that overnight and early morning.
The wind died down around 8pm last night and settled around 18mph with a few 30mph gusts.
During the early morning it dropped to 10-15mph with a few 25mph gusts, which it is now.

9.5c, 1013.3 hPa.
No more rain here since 11am yesterday morning.

Sunny and cold this morning but more windy then I thought it was going to be with gusts only a bit lower then yesterday.

Spent all day in bed yesterday courtesy of a hangover from hell :help:

few pics from Saturdays “storm”. To be honest I really didn’t think it was that windy, but the high tide along with South Westerly winds meant sandbanks that overlap on shore road and by the chain ferry was nailed on.

After the ran stopped earlier this PM, I took a wander along the beach. Tops of the purbecks were enshrouded in cloud, more folks down on the beach this week even with kids in the surf (brrr) well to tell it's half term..Still pleasant enough for an ice-cream..

A dreadful day to be fair, and on a Monday too!

It was rather wet this morning, with 7.8mm falling. October is now becoming average in terms of rainfall, rather than well below. 65.6mm so far.

Did manage to get to 15.7°C, but it has been so overcast and grey, it felt more like 7.7°C

That unexpected moment when you go outside at nearly 22.00, after a thoroughly dismal day, with a grim forecast for the next morning, and the stars are shining!

We've had some decent sunny spells between the gloomy Stratocumulus, quite hazy though with a lot of high cloud too, I think being near high ground as well as there being a strong wind is helping to break the cloud up, the temperature has responded with 17.9c the maximum.

Damp and miserable all day with sea mist coming in at times. Feels mild but not that pleasant with the dampness.

It has to be the worst two days of the year so far, it is just damp, and about as dark & grey as it could possibly be.
