Tremendously bright lightning and gunshot then booming thunder twice in the last 2 minutes as well as a lot more lightning/thunder to the NW and SE then S beforehand.

Wind has really picked up here continus thunder in distance not sure if it going to reach us.

From 13.00 to 13.20 we had torrential rain, hail, continuous lightning and very noisy thunder.  Produced 8.3mm and the temperature dropped from 20.5°C to 15.0°C in that time.  Sun's shining now!

Cleared here now can still hear thunder heading towards Salisbury.

Oooh some good rumbles big claps and a couple of lightning here. As soon as the heaviest rain started to slow though it all stopped! Didn't last long.

Yes was gardening in Rockbourne and all hell let loose,then moved on up to Whitsbury and all hell let loose again,all in a gardeners day of course.

Bright and sunny here after some afternoon showers with distant to close rumbles of thunder.

One strike must have flipped the switch of our surge protector and turned our electricity off though temporarily.

Poor forecasting last week. After all those rain forecasts Friday, it turned out be a few drizzly showers mid afternoon and the rest was lovely sunshine.
There was no rain. but yesterday forecast was for a sunny day, but it was a showery day with some heavy showers and a gusty 20mph wind and 25-30mph gusts.

Lovely sunny day today, 18.5c and winds down to 3mph WNW

Some nice red tinged skies at the T20 cricket on Friday night.

It hasn't stopped since earlier than that around here, maybe just brightening slightly now. Seems the warm front has got stuck and the proximity of the Bristol Channel/Mendips has been feeding continual thick drizzle/rain across NE Somerset/Bath/West Wiltshire.

Clearing up considerably now with warm feeling sunshine and the temperature responding accordingly. Shame I've now made plans to not be outside to enjoy it given this morning!
