Can clearly see the boundary between the clearer skies overhead and cloudy skies to the north east.

Thought the same when I saw this one earlier. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/15388541.Hampshire_could_see_lightning_and_hailstorms_as_Met_Office_issues_weather_warning/

Always end up with nothing when they post a story about it, not to mention the fact they often exaggerate it. :wallbash:

Latest 10 day forecast showing 38mm rain for Newbury in a 3 hour period on Thursday. Never seen a forecast of that much in 3 hours since the start of the Internet age.

Somewhere in the 'sweet spot' will get a deluge on Thursday. Doubt it will be Newbury, but you never know.

Gorgeous day so far, a warmer version of Sunday's sunshine. 23C now so 26-27C should be achievable this afternoon.

If we miss out on storms this time, I'll happily take this!

Just tipped 27°C here this afternoon, a bit of fair weather cumulus and cirrus about an hour ago, all now dissipated.

Ah the M4 corridor - the line for potential snow and T storms!

Yes there has been plenty of promising looking clouds this evening for possible thunder later.

Problem is it doesn't mean that your area will get it.

Less clouds around here now and they are less unstable looking as well.

Hopes are not very high for thunder at the moment but maybe I am being a bit pedantic.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
