Seems to be the plume is moving NW and the storms NE. Off to bed methinks.

Picking up nicely now, steady rain and long sets of flashes and thunder. Horizontal forked to my W.

Well that was pretty darn good! I'm surprised the rain wasn't heavier though. The radar returned it as heavy, but in reality it was moderate. Perhaps due to evaporation on the way down?!

I was thinking the same, it was quite heavy here but not as heavy as you'd usually have when accompanying thunder.

Not bothered about the lack of thundery activity, Friday night was sufficient. A good half inch of rain to water the garden ahead of a mostly dry week.

Right on the western edge of the action here, saw two flashes and two very distant rumbles shortly after midnight BST.  Total rainfall here 13.2mm, temperature currently 19.8°C and feeling muggy.

Was still 18.5c at midnight and dropped to 15c by 1am.
Heavy rain between 11.30pm and 1.30am of 5.8mm. The wind picked up from the days 4-6mph to 12mph and 18mph gusts during that rain spell.

Now 16.2c, feeling very humid, light grey skies, SSE wind 1-2mph, 1011.8 hPa

Very muggy here too, sun trying to break through . Another shocking headache . 

The rain last night was very good for the garden , very happy .

Heavy rain falling now , 19C very warm and muggy ... loving the sound of the rain falling and the fact that the met office removed the heavy rain warning about an hour ago from my area lol !

2 very heavy showers in past hour. Got very dark. Looking out over Lyme Bay can see lots of convective showers forming.

Went downtown but there was a deluge at 11:00 and little rivers running on the sides of the road, this went on for a while and then stopped and another lot of heavy rain has arrived, I think some of the drains are getting a bit full.

Looks like you're under a line of showers coming off the channel whereas here I'm right in the gap between that line to the west and the larger area of rain to the east.

Yes that was certainly the case , banks of grey cloud all around now but oh so muggy and uncomfortable , with just a hint of sun trying to break through . Bizarre feel to the day . But at least it's not cold and wet . That I can't abide . 

The rain is doing my plants the power of good and for that I'm very very grateful . 

Edit. Just looked on netweather storm radar and showers veering to the east of me now , so perhaps that's it for the day . To be honest it matters not what happens I just enjoy following radars and learning about the weather .
