Morning all :hi:

Still looking great for tonight and all day tomorow for parts of Scotland including here.

Slightly disappointed though in the track of the storm for early hours of Thursday - currently looking like it is going to wash away all my snow that will be thick on the ground for two days at that point...we can but dream! (As I type this it has just updated to the heavy snow icon below )

It is going to be very interesting to see what happens with the above - prolonged rain or snow for Central Lowlands late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning? We shall see!

Have a good day.

Everything looking good! Time to wait and see if the showers track this way! The storm later in the week looks like snow to rain to snow but plenty of excitement in the meantime!

This is quite possibly the greatest automated forecast I've seen for my location! I suspect the reality will be different but definitely a (made up) forecast to screenshot :D

Don't think they have the exact track of this storm nailed yet Aggy.   Once they do that, we should have a better idea of where we stand.:)

Pulled this from the model thread:-

"The British Isles and Ireland are in for another deep cyclone & windstorm on Wednesday and Thursday: latest model runs indicate winds gusting up to 130-150 km/h locally. We will be taking a more detailed look at the system later today. Map: @wxcharts - ARPEGE model guidance"

Cold rain and sleet to sea level down the great Glen this morning and one nasty moment on black ice near Drumnadrochit. The burns are foaming madly.

The 06z brings the low further south compared to the 00z :)

This set up is looking like an absolute stonker.  If it hits across the central belt, there's going to be some serious travel issues tomorrow through Wednesday.

Pretty sure the last time we had something like this in Stirling, we were digging ourselves out.

Fingers crossed, however my toys are still firmly IN ra pram.

10cm pre-storm.

I'd be over the moon with that - just hope they've run out of 50p's for the snowshield.

My prediction for upper tweeddale:

Tues/Weds 15.6cm

Storm 7cm and a period of sleet as she is overhead

Fri-Sun 4.9cm

Although the storm track is correcting south with every run...

Love it when Sean Batty uses the phrase, "snow piling-in".
