Gone off now but a good 4" here.

Dog just loves it!  Can't even drag him out if it's raining but won't come in when it's snowing!

Just back from a trip up the hill.  Amazing the difference a little bit of height makes, as there is literally nothing in town but over an inch or so at Broxden.

Nice to walk in though, and I'll certainly take it for now... fingers crossed for more though!

Must admit, although I certainly wasn’t expecting accumulating snow I thought I might at least see a flake! Never mind, as I always (have to) say, next time! :D

Good to see the Fife contingent get some of the white stuff.

Ended up with 5/6cm here much like Glasgow is reporting.

I went to the Southern uplands to find more snow to walk the dogs and nothing! Only the remnants of the snow the other day that I never got so went nearer to home and found beautifully white scenery.

2 days of lying snowfall here this month which is actually rather good as we never catch showers usually from N or E. So rely on WNW which are just sleet or sliders.

Depressing when snow starts to melt but oh well. Forecast was for 4c and rain by now just this morning and it's 0.5c and dry.... So can't grumble at all these wee upgrades

Roll on more events like this! Maybe not -20c coming but the models look interesting and there's scope for more snow

Type of breed that you have to be one step ahead of!   They are so intelligent.  I can practically tell what he is thinking before he does!:D

Light sleet so far from the 2nd band of precipitation, will see what happens when it gets heavier...

I take it you are reporting from the Weege currently?

I'm watching that band as I still have some snaw forecast for later when I'll be coming back over Soutra at ~400 asl.

Have enjoyed the pics today, always bonus points for cute dogs?

We managed some light snow here but it was effectively sod all. Still a nice winters day though, snow cover looked pretty, maxed at -1c

one year I will bother my erse to properly record this stuff but we've had bags of ice days, days snow falling/lying, so its ticked over how December should, not special but decent. Would be nice for the resorts to get a serious dumping soon and the season to properly kick-in but still the snowiest period of winter to come, so fingers crossed as always

Yesterday was combat skiing up above Mayrhofen in Austria, real follow the tips of your skis stuff in heavy snow, especially in the afternoon. Today was cold, blue skies and sunshine. Got to be up there as one of the best ski days I've ever had.

Best day of Christmas for me. House guests gone so had breakfast in bed. Sledging and snow balls sorted. Neighbours in for mulled wine and chat. Yesterday's stew and cauliflower cheese reheating in the kitchen. Some more snow would be nice so will keep an eye on the radar but all in all a pretty near perfect day.

Plenty of breeds that you need to be one step ahead of in Inverness!

Decent covering in the morning, partial thaw in the afternoon. Sky has cleared with a bright moon showing. Lying snow/slush now freezing, treacherous under foot. Take care out there!

Less than 1mm this morning for me. The heavy ppn just didn't pass near whilst other parts of the Borders had lots. Weird.

Rainy sleet on now despite my elevation and a temp never higher than 0.5°C today - at least there's still the 11cm from early Boxing Day :cold:

Cracking @Ravelin, brought back good memories, did the snowbombing festival there many moons ago, some glorious conditions and it was early April. They had a hugely impressive  halfpipe/ramp park by the main restaurant. Stunning wee place with lovely people, enjoy ?
