Snow shield (when I'm here) fully operational:

Nice work 101. Snow prevention is a serious job. Looks like you and Aggy have taken the ‘dodge the precipitation altogether’ approach....which is a neat trick.

I’m not concerned about this latest attempt to spoil me recording yet another snow-free winter. I’ll use the old ‘North Sea’ option and any snow which does fall should soon turn to rain with milder air off the sea.

:D

Nothing more than a dusting here. Looks like I am 30 miles too far south!

Heavy rain 10 miles away..... But not for me!

Only an inch or so but i'll take it! Seems like the front has not gone as far north as thought last night (I was to have rain by now) so good for me

Snowing lightly...

Again the difference a few miles makes. Falkirk reporting light snaw, yet here it is heavy, about an inch already.

Getting heavier here now and some decent sized flakes at last.

Just started snowing here.. nice big flakes :)

Not sure if it'll settle or how much we'll get, but just seeing it is good for me!

Strange phenomenon falling out of the sky in east central this morning.    It's white and fluffy and flakey and falling quite lightly onto frosty ground.  Anyone know what it is?   :D

Snowing lightly again now but still very much in the 'non-event' category.

We were under that clear slot in the radar for too long. Some improvement in the radar picture this last 30 minutes but little to show for it despite being "under it". For you and me we have to hope that the whole snow feature pivots and tilts so we get a second bite at the cherry but I think our chance may well have passed.

EDIT: snawing decently now in Leith. Might get a covering yet !
