The airport is something like 10 metres above sea level - on flat low-lying land which is to the west of the city and not a great place for snow.  I doubt the temperature is that much different from here though.

Turning more to sleet here now. No obvious snowflakes, but you can see it as sleet when it hits the cars.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I don’t post here often but just letting you know that sleet has now turned to snow. Obviously it’s to wet to settle but I still class this as a white Christmas! :D

Normally takes met office a couple of days to confirm official White Christmas locations, but it's sounding good from above reports and corresponding radar images over last few hours. Fingers xd

Morning. Wet and sleet for the last hour in Cambuslang, mainly sleet. A friend in Wishaw has had heavy snow which turned to sleet but says the cars and grass are white. More to come ?.

Turned to snow here before midnight with a slushy covering so technically a white Christmas. Light snow now at 1C. At my brothers just North of Glasgow.

Wokeup several times during the night and was all happy watching it snowing steadily, but woke up to a covering only. However the hills are white, the garden is white, the fiedls are white - so that makes it a white xmas for me. Curently 1C,
