Drumochter is the only cam I can find that's showing snow yet, all the others I've looked at (all Highlands mind, none o your softee southern pish) look just wet.

2.5C here now, looking more sleety again. This time yesterday it was warm, dry and blowy.

Absolutely hee haw in the way of white stuff here. We've had horizontal rain, hail and sleet and the temp has dropped as low as 0.9c today so it will be interesting to see what the next few days bring. As usual my hopes will not be built up.

It was odd leaving home at 6 this morning, cycling in a strangely warm December wind with no need for gloves and then coming home to an icy wind, drenched in sleety rain.

This week has been too busy so I had no idea there was something wintry on the horizon until just now.

So far as five day forecasts from the Beeb go, this is none too shabby!!

That's sea level Inverness, higher parts look even more fun!

Starting to turn to wet snow here now. Not heavy enough to lie on the wet ground though.

We had about a foot of snow 10 minutes ago but it's all gone now. Phone was charging at the time. :p

That was interesting. The wind was crazy about 4:00.

The power went off, something happened our power line, but we are up and running. Great work by our technicians, I don't fancy being out in this.

Wind still blowing a fair bit. It feels much colder, not sure on temperature. Last shower was of sleet.

Don’t you just love the sound of sleety rain hitting the window. Almost as good as reading the cultured debates of a slider low not being fair, you’d think it is controlled by remote lol

I have to go and have a look, could be fun.

Hmmm, don't think much will be learned in there tonight. It's gone from a university patio to kindergarten playground pretty quickly.

Not that I'm there but settling snow in Kilmarnock and the radar is looking healthy. The Kilmarnock primary school model has a good chance at verifying! (although if it was a killie model im sure they would have drawn something else over Ayr and not an 8:rofl:

Love it :)

I'm safe, no lamppost for 2 miles although my windows aren't too bad. I did have to wash my headlights this morning though. The roads here are dirty as anything.

Edit: @Ross B that's crazy, did the Killie snowshield run out of leccy?

Na I just moved away from there, so now it snows

Hello aggy i was wondering where you managed to find the model thread  I've been trying all day to find it in the usual  place but i think the Russians have hacked it

Also  please please please  god never  let me be snow starved for 4 years because today i have  witnessed it and the results are truly terrifying
