O mo chreach, some of the hyperbole in the model thread! 'Run of the century', 'country to a standstill' and so on.

Does no one remember 'the masterpiece' last year?

'The Scottish ones are taking the p**s out of us again' should be more powerful than any single model run.

Morning the Sane Scots!

Is this the one you were after?  And be kind, the nice Weather Ward inmates are quite correct, the country (meaning south of the border country) will grind to a halt with a mere dusting, let alone proper snow. So they aren’t delusional in that respect. The expectations of it happening however......

God, I’ll be deported for this

No (though that is a tasty run!) - it was back in maybe January of this year? Big northerly to north easterly I think which showed daytime maxes of -5'C to -12'C across much of Scotland with overnight lows into the -20s?

It was quite genuinely the most extreme run I've ever seen in my 10 years of model watching.

that's better than nothing, long may it continue. lots of showers to come thru the night so hoping to wake up to a good covering in the morning.

Yeah, seems to be coming to life at last! Day off tomorrow, could be a play day...:yahoo: There, that should bring the dew points up a bit.

Came through a heavy shower of just about everything around Oldmeldrum about 5pm. Been snowing on and off here at home since, but nothing that heavy that I've noticed. Currently 1.1C with a thin covering of lying snow.

Another whiteout lasting about 5 mins again, I have worked out when the light from the farm at the end of the road 1 mile away is no longer visible its snowing heavy and when the light from the farm 0.5 miles away is no longer visible then its very heavy. already had more snow this Autumn than ive had in the last 3 winters in Englandshire... I think the wife might be suddenly suspicious about the weather  facts I gave her before we moved...
