Morning all, that was a sticky night and have risen to some pretty plumetastic skies this morning. Already 19C with a light, pleasant E'ly breeze.

Gearing up to be another lovely day, absolutely delightful yesterday, hopefully we get more sun than cloud though. Latest forecast doesn't have much in the way if thunderstorms where I am, which is good news

It's beautiful out there, I posted some pics in the storm thread. However those towers have now disappeared .

I also have a sick little one today, so hopefully the weather gods will smile on us.

I'm going to remain healthily skeptical about our chances of a storm.

 

But why must chnaces always happen when I'm at work?!

Lightning strike and loud thunder from a huge tower that's gone up over the last ten minutes in West Malling.

Well that decent storm has just gone straight over my house, with radar returns of about 200mm/hr. Unfortunately I'm at work in Ipswich and can only see black clouds in the distance and hear the odd faint rumble

Yup definitely hearing thunder here now

That's probably it for the east - I might just make Lowestoft to see it disappearing into the N Sea

Looks like southwold is getting the better part of this .... having said that the thunder is close, my dog is about to have a panic attack!

Having a rough collie (lassie dog) fly at you from 10ft is literally a hair raising experience! While the cocker spaniel snores on through and couldn't give a rats 

There is a line of showers following this, but I fear they will go more southwold way than reach here

Lol think you'll be safe to venture out, they're going more north than south of us it appears now, didn't get enough rain to even wet the ground

Thunder in this direction for about five minutes still going, skies fairly dark

Warm and sultry day here, some mid level cloud but lots of sunshine, no sign of a storm yet. Currently 28C.
