Cloud has moved away here too now and I can feel the heat level rocketing.

Do feel sorry for our new neighbours  moving in with a little baba in this heat and our hamster. #feels.

No rain but can smell it in the air, thundery shower over the wash should be heading towards Dersi area but may be nothing more then a bit of a drizzle when it reaches you.

You spoke too soon, Tesco car park flooded!

Did the same during the 2006 heat, wife was 7 months pregnant too. She was such a delight to be around!:diablo:

As someone who dislikes the heat (not the sun) I'm happy we have some cloud cover today and the winds have picked up, giving some relief to the humidity. For a brief while the BBC app was showing a thunder storm for Thursday morning, but it's gone again :(

I strangely, feel fine in humid, hot and cloudy weather but as soon as the sun comes out I feel ill and that's with a water bottle attached to my face. That's why this morning was such a blessing. However, now, got a light breeze, some high clouds and a hope in my heart.

The cloud cover has lifted over Peterborough and it feels like the temperature has doubled...definitely feels more oppressive than what was forecast.

Earlier hazy cloud has cleared and now not a cloud in sight. Temp shooting up but it actually feels more comfortable than the last couple of days because a lovely easterly breeze has developed - a gust of 14 mph measured just now. Wonderful weather! :)

It's a lot hotter and sunnier here today than I thought it would be! After some early morning cloud went away it's been sunny all day. Temps nearly at 30c now.

The usual going ons over the on the MOD thread.

*Next 2 weeks a right off

*unsettled and cool

*beginning of July looking rubbish

Of course they could all be right, however only 3 weeks ago I read on the MAD thread that June was also a right off and here we are, a very possible chance that tomorrow could see the hottest June day since 1976.

If that isn't cause for optimism against crap model predictions, I don't know what is!!

#Didyouknow the hottest #SummerSolstice was 31.7 °C at Camden Square London in 1936?

Tomorrow we are likely to beat this with highs of 34 °C

Lovely day in the end, it reached 29C here by 2pm but since then a stiff easterly wind has picked up dropping the temperatures back a couple of degrees, it actually feel lovely and refreshing out there.

As for tomorrow

What a way to end this spell, low thirties for most away from the coast with 35C certainly possible in London.

Just stepped outside and it's actually quite fresh.  Very nice. Not sure it'll last with what's forecast tomorrow

I'm hoping for rain and lots of it. We're in desperate need and this heat isn't pleasant at all.

Lots of it??

Im sure your desires for rainfall in summer will come true.

We live in the UK after all. You won't have long to wait before it's pi**ing down days on end.

You have to admit we have gone 9/10 months with not a lot of pi@@ing down for days on end.

If you are older like me you wish for 23c type clear skies and lovely weather not extreme 30 plus, type weather people who wish for this should move to spain.

I totally understand where the urge for hot dry weather comes from, I used to pray for it, now being older its not good for us oldies, but I still wish for lovely sun and no rain.
