Pouring rain here, chilly at 13C. Looks like another write-off today as the radar showing more heavy rain moving down towards London.

Well so far the thundery rain that was promised has amounted to nothing, not even rain!

Missed yesterday's heaviest showers here. Recorded just 6mm. The temp has flat-lined at 13.5C for the last 15 hours and Mrs Blessed has started to complain about the house feeling cold - oh dear, that's a good 6 weeks earlier than normal.

Plenty of potential today for chosen locations to see some very large rainfall totals. Carol nicely describing how thunderstorms are likely to bubble up later this morning, ahead of the slowly sinking front, and then get absorbed into it to give some very heavy downpours with the risk of flooding.

27mm rain this morning. the band of rain sinking south has really developed some serious oomph over London and the Home Counties.

Wouldn't be surprised to get off lightly with the rain today.

Yesterday we had a few spits (in the south of worthing) yet a mile north got a soaking!

Rain here in the Fens, heavy but not overly troublesome. It's going to be one of those washout days.

Just been out in lowland East London. Initially light rain but a heavier pulse has passed through in the past 30-45 minutes.

The heaviest rain looks to be to the west and south west of London currently. I'm also noting some lively showers embedded in the rain developing over North Norfolk and tracking SSW in the flow so there's plenty more for London in the next few hours.

The current rain belt tracks back NE to Suffolk and that looks as though it will impact London early this afternoon.

Moderate rain again here, certainly getting more potent the further south you go; nothing to ominous on radar for Norfolk/Suffolk tbh.

Rain all day...heavy this morning..... now getting heavier again.

I'm sure there's some kind of theory about every seventh wave.  Well every seventh day seems to bring an extreme this summer.  I don't know if I'm just imagining this but it seems to be the hottest and wettest days of the summer have always fallen on a summer, as if that's the seventh day that's giving us the peak or the trough of any particular spell of weather we have been having

Looking on radar the rain looks like it's in two fronts, I'm guessing the one further south is where the thunderstorms where expected to fire. It looks like that trough has really blown up. Not sure it will electrify.

Wow, had some torrential rain here and very cold at 14C. Didn't think it could get any worse but I was wrong!

temp 18, light winds, and pressure rising for some reason. Even the weather station is confused giving a forecast for fine weather at the min. The rain is not all that far away.
