The lack of posts says it all - today's weather was boring!! The satellite image shows the problem for much of the Region today, an endless stream of cloud over most of us, although maybe not too bad in the SE corner. Having said that, it did reach 21.7C here, so it could have been worse.

A persistent band of cloud for many. 19.10:  5984ce4b89124_CloudFri04Aug19_10.thumb.jpg.d636941a03a737efa8fabf4a7dad3cee.jpg

Oh well, let's hope for some interest tomorrow with some heavy and maybe thundery showers about. This evening's Beeb forecast suggesting this:

Sat 12.00. Ben Rich says a "clump" of showers will be heading east: 5984cea74a201_BeebSat05Aug12_00.thumb.jpg.590196892f516f6182234fd80726fe6f.jpg

Showers building nicely now and on course to bring us some downpours later.

Meanwhile a beautiful morning for a stroll through the local allotments.

Very cheerful!! :) 598598711b1fe_AllotmentSat05Aug.thumb.jpg.22f89b1540e7e470cda32dd765db4e86.jpg

Sky has gone from clear blue to looking ready for something to pop in the last half hour.

Wow you can really see the speed these clouds are rising, haven't had that yet this year.

A few decent storms around now! Just had a downpour here but only some distant rumbles.

Had a good storm here about 2:30. About 20 mins of CG lightning, loud thunder, hail and torrential rain. Heavens have just opened again but no thunder or lightning

So far just some light convective rain, got another line on the way though, wonder if that will do anything.

A much more interesting day's weather! Early sunshine, then heavy showers with plenty of sparks for many around the middle of the day. Temps really dropped when the showers arrived here, down from 20.2C to 13.5C between 13.15 and 14.30, but then rising again as the clouds melted away.

And now a beautiful August evening which I enjoyed with a beer in my local pub's beer garden.

Well I will soon be back in the UK. It seems like the weather might improve by the time I return (hopefully). I must admit I wish I could bring thenweather I have experienced in Paris back with me (mid twenties, sunshine every day and only bits and pieces of light rain mostly at night).

Well turns out the second line also only brought light convective rain to Dover.

Beautiful start to the day.

Nice cool start sunny skies.
Had couple bands of showers yesterday pm.

I do love these cooler starts to the day.

Notice the rain band which was spreading  sun eve has almost vanished now.

Weather no where near as bad as made out as normal, although I must admit its good that the wind had eased off a bit.

Lovely sunny start here in Milford on Sea after a very chilly night. Yesterday started out similarly but had 3 heavy showers during the day, which was rather annoying but there were also some warm sunny spells in between the showers.

Very nice day here. Plenty of sunshine and temperature up to 21.9C.

The middle of next week looking to hold some interest - and not in a good way for early August with folk trying to enjoy their holidays. With low pressure set to move up off the Continent and spin its way up the North Sea on Weds/Thurs, there's the potential for some impressive amounts of rainfall for the eastern side of our Region. Arpege suggesting locations right on the coast could possibly see 2 to 3 inches of rain. The development and track of the low over the next few days is obviously key - but one to watch.

Gloomy start here this morning, 16C and light winds. Not many family friendly words for the next few days, so I'll leave it there.
