My washing is hung out. If anything will make it rain other than lighting the barbie, it's a clothes line of stuffs.

That's 1 for the MHI. 3 or more mean you're in for a thundery Summer. black_eye.gif

Enjoying the warmest day of the year here with plenty of sunshine and a temperature of 21.7c. A thunderstorm and some much needed rain later would be a welcome bonus.

Beautiful heat and skies looking convective but I'm skeptical as to whether they'll bring us storms.

It was looking really threatening for a heavy shower but now there isn't a cloud in the sky.

Definitely feeling humid and with a few distant rumbles in the far SE. I'm hoping the T&L can hop the channel as there are some mean looking clouds to my south. Think it's too little too late for today though. Well done on that cauliflower!

Today started out cloudy here, then cleared and turned into a glorious sunny afternoon.  Has in the last hour come over dark, and has now just started to rain. Def feels stormy, light consistant breeze, sure I keep hearing distant rumbles from across the channel.

Really hoping we do get some thunder and lightning but not holding my breath

Lots of rain on its way but seems like it's done 'a smartphone' and lost its charge well before the evening!

I'll get me coat.

Darn it!! The storm activity fizzled as soon as the sun went down and the more organised band of rain on the front that came through overnight was no more than a bit of drizzle. So for me, a measly 1 mm of rain so far. And the Arpege rainfall accumulation forecast up to midnight Saturday isn't very promising for us in the eastern counties, suggesting a couple of mm more. But I'm hoping for a direct hit with a heavy shower later this afternoon to prove the Arpege forecast wrong!!

Those of you wishing for rain all April.

Could be quite wet next, well compared what we used to anyway.

Things becoming unsettled heading into second half of May it seems, right on cue to take us into June... surprise surprise!

Some belated pics of recent clouds, first interesting of the year really... the not often seen asperitas? Also a recent cloudburst with some rays reflecting through the hail/rain

Looking like the weather will take a real downturn next week if models are to be believed, plenty of rain or showers and not very warm. Hopefully some decent convective activity to come at least and some sun to raise temperatures. Can't be doing cold and wet at this time of year.
