Don't think the east will see too much tbh, although anything south of Cambridge might make it to S Norfolk/Suffolk

Difficult to tell, NS; it looks like a developing situation?

With any luck, it'll be as spectacular as the situation that 'developed' in very early January 2014?

I was hoping for a storm today, any storm, elevated or surface based, according to NW own will it thunder it was at 52% last night.

Those hopes have now evaporated, and its now saying 0%

Bugger.

Amazing timing Dami!! Just after I've 'screen grabbed' the latest lightning strikes on the real-time map, your message notification appeared!!

So there you are - one for the album - the real-time image of your strikes with you superimposed!!

oh my word! that is quite special. :D The storms aren't taking a direct route to me, but 7 claps of thunder to one storm starved person such as I has made my day.

Just what I was thinking...It's already up to 22C!

Car reading 27c on way back from beach, it's horribly muggy and those showers appear to be missing us, heading north east grrrrr

Already hotter than yesterday here at 25c.

Reason.......... westerlies instead of easterlies, as I go on all the time about.

Didnt go below 20c which is very unusual being so close to the sea.

Just absolutely thrown it down here, gusty winds, few rumbles of thunder.....but nothing really of note. Seen plenty of better storms, put it that way! :D

No storm even though i had a high chance for two days according to forecasts :wallbash:just a bit of drizzle from clipping edges of showers and a very distant rumble

Massive blobs of rain for all of 5 minutes here an hour ago.

1 crack of thunder and now it's becoming brighter thank god.

Usual UK storm efforts, a measly 1 crack of thunder after 5 consecutive days of 30c+ = only in the UK.

Dry for rest of day now here with temps up to 24/25c in afternoon = luurrvley!!

Just heard distant thunder to south-west

Same here in Surbiton, couldn't work out if it is noisy traffic when I am not used to working from home, but after the third one decided it is distant thunder. Looks like it is from that cell currently stretching from Southampton to Dorking. It looks more to the east of north-east in its direction of travel, so unless it grows (it certainly is firing up on the radar), it will probably pass to the south of here.

EDIT: on the latest radar, the storm looks torrential but is moving quickly east. Plentiful pings are appearing on my Blitzortung.

Couple of loudish rumbles, guess that's an exit from the NSC even though I wasn't at home lol

Typical.

Covered the sex swing over in the garden, and doesn't rain.

Never mind.
