Haha, my melons died without fruiting this year. Could be a sign?!

Did you use the same seeds as when you grew some successfully?

Much cooler today, which was good, got brought a new really warm jumper and chenille jacket and got reminded I need to choose my coat for my Birthday present. Tis all good.

Put up Halloween for Bubs, so looks spooky in the front room.

Started on the Christmas shopping, which is home stuffs. We add to what we have every year and I solely  blame pinterest on that.

The cold weather makes it feel more seasonable so perfect for seasonable shopping.

oh and hubs got loads of fireworks. \o/

A lovely sunny day, quiet this morning but wind increasing from lunchtime and now chilly enough to light the wood burner.

Temp: 11C after a high of 14C earlier

Wind:  15mph, gusting to 32

Pressure: 1021

Humidity: 82%

Visibility: Very good

Beautiful sunset again (I’m lucky enough to have a west facing back garden). Have zoomed in on second photo, although my iPad didn’t pick up how red the sky was!

much colder tonight, using my new fleecy hot water bottle. wind is quite strong, gusting roughly every twenty miutes.

No wind here yet, it feels weird having the wind get here last.

Nice and bright and sunny this morning, looks to be a rash of showers making their way down the North Sea coast though, now if only it were colder, they might be snow showers.

October Fog Index was very poor, 1 foggy night, a barren winter a head. Hopefully the November Fog Index is better.

Boring weather inc.

Everything will be boring, if it's not sleety, snowy or maybe even thunderly.

Rules out anything for this year then and most of next.

  • Chilly with an increasing risk of frost

Once Monday's band of rain fades, the next few days will be drier. However, it will feel cool, even cold, in the breeze or under gloomy skies, with an increasing risk of frost. Read the full update here

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming. Week Ahead: Cool but largely dry until later in the week, when low pressure returns

We keep a chilly northerly flow going through much of the coming week, especially noticeable in the east. Cloud and rain spreading south Monday, but after that, most places largely dry until later in the week, when it looks to turn more showery. Read the full update here
