no problems MW - must say in very nerdy fashion I looked through all 51 ECM ensembles and only a couple looked anything like this, so still early days, but a bit scary all the same.

Missed the red sun rise:fool: Warm and sunny out, in short sleeves. Wonder how the other side of the UK is doing?

BBC weather for the week ahead shows a deep low over the UK and a very powerful jet stream with the strongest winds in the south:sorry:

Good question KB. What indeed will be the max temp tomorrow? The amount of cloud cover we end up with will play a big part. Interesting that the BBC/Met Office have trimmed back the temp on their graphics from the 24C shown yesterday to 22C today. In contrast, tonight's Arpege is still holding steady with a forecast of 23C. But tbh, we're lucky to be discussing the top temp and not how we'll keep the roof tiles on!!

BW I do not know where the sun went as it is mainly cloudy in Thurrock.  There have been a very brief bright spell but it quickly clouded over.  The temperature does not feel any warmer than yesterday and I don't think it will get any warmer than 22 ° C. There is some light winds but I do not think it will get windier.  One local weather station said that rain is expected for Thurrock.

Same here in the sun it was ridiculously warm but a novelty. :)

Next weekend will need to be watched closely for us lot again and again quite a viscous depression is being modelled it's been like this for days, I'm very impressed with how the models have handled Ophelia.

The sky by me. Pic doesn't do how yellow it looks out or the fact the clouds are pink where the sun is., Although my phone shows more detail. To my north it looks very very dark, as if I am expecting a thunderstorm. Gone from no wind this morning to gusts. Looking forward to getting bubs home in an hour.

The sun looks a bit different than usual as it has a pinkish tinge.
