After a lovely morning with clear skies the temperature has shot up from 8.5C earlier to 21.C at noon. But the cumulus are now really building here, and I see the first showers have broken out on the eastern coastal fringes. Arpege 6z suggesting the showers stay in the same places as currently seeing them:

Yep thunder heard in dover, watched it build right over my head, not moving at all. Could be a very wet day. I'm guessing this is a convergence zone, as any movement seems to be slowly south, and the sea breeze blowing on shore.

Thunderstorm with heavy rain and large (for here) hail for a time in Folkestone. Came out of nowhere and built overhead, still thundering back home in Hawkinge but there's not even been enough rain to wet the ground completely and we're only a 5 minute drive up the road!

Yep similar to hawkinge here, thundering with almost no rain. Stopped for now but lots of convective sky still about.

Yes, lots of threatening looking cloud about, but hardly any rain around the Region.

Nice blue sky here now for the most part. Still looks like something may try to bubble up again though.

September has started off nicely my birth month is usually fairly reliable for settled ‘warm’ weather. Another chilly night expected, got to thank the lengthening dark hours.

No rain here today, but some really lovely cloud-scapes and a max temp of 22.8C to enjoy. :)

We randomly have a thunderstorm passing overhead just now - few flashes of lightning and some heavy ppn. Certainly wasn't expecting this today!! Looks very local/isolated on the radar.

Romford, we have been having this storm for about 2-3 hours now, think they are sneaking eastwards very slowly... more pics later.

The rolling thunder is incredible. Been a while since a good storm has loud thunder.

Lovely sunny morning here, some dense low mists first thing over the open ground.

Disappointed in myself.
