Brighter start here with sunny spells, currently 15C. Looks like a reasonable day to come, if on the cool side.

Still some heavy drizzle around this morning here on the East coast, but finally this lunchtime the clouds have thinned to give some bright & sunny spells. And with the wind easing all the while and the temp up to 20.2C it feels very pleasant outside. :)

Well today has saved the best to last. The wind has completely dropped, the clouds have melted away, and the temperature has peaked at 21.3C at 19.35. What a lovely evening!

19.45 Nice evening.... but tomorrow's cloud and rain is looming out west: 597794aaf21bb_CloudTues25July19_45.thumb.jpg.31c9e199024578f76c8860064b20b03a.jpg

A lovely end to the day as the wind eased and swung to the east allowing the cloud to melt away. Somehow the temperature managed to reached 22C by the evening which was very nice.

All downhill again tomorrow though.

Me thinks the weather has fooled many of us today!! The anticipated "few hours of rain" has certainly not happened in this Region with (so far here) just a few spots that have evaporated before they could make the paving stones wet. And in fact the cloud has recently broken and the temperature has shot up to 21C. It feels quite humid out there now. And I'm not grumbling as it's been a brucie bonus to have managed a few outside jobs this afternoon!! :)

You're right enough, BW - today's rain has gone the same way as yesterday's sunshine!:good:

been cloudy most of the afternoon, very windy in front of the bit of rain we had, like a squall but light rain.

Well we had a little rain but it has brightened up with a little sunshine and it does feel quite warm out there at 22C.

Wow - so windy. Some branches are down in the back garden. Stormy just without the rain

Unfortunately Dami, I do; I'm an 'Aspie'...I can still remember (I wish I couldn't!) asking a dear old lady if she was going to die soon, as her skin was 'like paper'...Fortunately, her reply was: 'I hope not dear.' I was only 3 at the time, but my propensity for asking inappropriate questions persists!:cray:

In answer, yes I can do a bacon roll.

But they taste better if someone else makes you one.

Complete and utter dross down here on this part of the south coast today. A dull grey blanket of cloud throughout, frequent drizzle and light rain which was often blown sideways by gusty winds and a max of 17.6c.

The decent start to summer is just a dim and distant memory now.

Where has summer gone? Feeling very autumnal here again this morning. Met Office suggesting sunshine and showers but just cloud, cloud and more cloud here, just like the last 2 weeks. Zzzzz

Another sunny start here, barely a drop of the wet stuff has reached here, even though most others have had it reading through the posts here. Hope we get some today, but looking at forecasts seems it fizzles out before reaching the coast again.

Well BB, I'm hopeful that, given steep enough lapse rates and a very long land-track, we might be in line for late afternoon/early evening thunderstorms? And, as we all know too well, hope springs eternal!:D

Some very heavy showers here, no thunder though. Brief warm sunshine in between, more sunshine would be lovely :)

Dry here, though whilst up in Peterborough earlier there was a rather nasty shower brewing just to the north of the city over Lincolnshire typically. Fairly warm with a high of 21C.
