No heavy rain or thunder here, just a few spot of drizzle, felt cool but humid this morning, warm but fresher in the afternoon, in the sun.

Lovely morning, birds singing, sun is shining, a little breeze and sensible temps.

The only blot on the landscape is the travelers that moved in across the road on a small piece of grassland.

Sunny and breezy morning here, a fresh 16C currently. Hopefully that rain out W will stay there until overnight.

Lovely start with just some high cirrus ahead of the advancing low. Currently 16.7C (07.50) after a min of 11.6C overnight - much more comfortable!

This morning's satellite image of incoming low at 07.20: 5971a2c92b32c_CloudFri21July07_20.thumb.jpg.8d848c097afad8bc9eba174e7df22e95.jpg

Arpege reckons the well defined band of rain will move through our Region during the overnight period. The Met Office is forecasting slightly faster timing with rain reaching London by 22.00.

Back to the default vile howling winds! Otherwise quite nice here still.

Same here, the best day for weeks?

I was also concerned by the humidity but - that might be down to my advancing years!:help:

A bit breezy this afternoon, with a top gust of 19 mph. But overall a lovely day with plenty of sunshine and a max of 22C.  And to end the day much of the Region under blue skies. :)

Aye. And with any luck, once the overnight rain has buggered off, into the North Sea, tomorrow might be good too?

I suspect you're right..... for this Region. But for me.... I'm off back to the family home on the South Wales coast early tomorrow and it looks like frequent heavy showers over there - but I'm actually looking forward to that, with hopefully some great skies, towering clouds and torrential downpours!! :)

Managed to get our tent up here near Banbury, Oxfordshire, before the rain, thankfully. Proper soaking rain but stayed dry until the walk to the pub. Cool start to today, just 11C but some sunshine too.

A lot of cloud around, still blowy but its warm once the sun is out.

next door is still moving in. Been about a month. Loudly have erected 3 garden chairs outside.  That's to go with the chest of drawers and ironing Board they went past with last weekend.

At least they got a lovely day for it.:good:

High summer and here it is currently dark, raining and only 13.4c and falling! More like an October day.

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
