Why oh why has raintoday had an error message after a few seconds , it seems to have been an issue for many months now although on the odd occasion it works . Anybody had the same issue ?

Yes me too I gave up with it and now just use the netweather one.

I guess it is a case of enjoying the next 24 hours I guess with the risk of thunderstorms tonight and into tomorrow, it seems like my location could get close to 90f by the afternoon if the skies clear properly and the winds swing to the south.

That cell south west of London looks like our first lot of fun with some torrential downpours embedded in that.

NetWX-sr showing some serious heat over East Anglia but very localised under the highest 850s which will be moving through tomorrow.

I am looking at the big blob with interest. Mainly because my phone radar is showing it hitting me, while every forecast under the cloud is saying null points at least for this time slot.

That really is a crazy chart captain obviously not to be taken literally but 13c difference within a few miles , I see 34c on that map . Wow

I think it's going to hit you and go up through Northamptonshire maybe?

I am guessing this as well. However how electrical it is by then is a different matter.

Not getting exciting AT ALL.

Lots of heat for storms to tap into too.

Really hoping it doesn't peter out before it gets to me. Looking dark to my south now, but I have a pesky cell just in front of the main one.

Evening all :)

Here in lowland East London and with the assistance of the wonderful Netweather Radar an observation or two.

There seem to be three distinct "lines" of activity - the largest and heaviest storm looks as though it will fringe west and north west London and head over the Chilterns.

A weaker band over Kent looks as though it will pass over the Thames Estuary and into Essex.

I'm more interested in the developing and at this time still fragmented middle area which has seen activity develop over Horsham and Billingshurst and the NNE drift of that might be interesting for my part of the world. That feeds back to another area of heavy and developing rain passing to the SE of Selsey Bill which again looks on course for London later on.

I thought from the rumbles and trajectory Newbury would be bang smack I. The middle of it. Bit of lightning, and moderate rain but seems it's missed us.. Reading though?

I think i'm going to miss most of that storm if my radar tracker is anyway to go by. Miss it as in catch an edge.

Reading seems to be getting an absolute pummelling.. Anyone here from Reading for a report. Apparently the lightning is flash after flash and intense rain.. think there will be plenty of flash flooding.
