Just had a very sharp shower here in mid-Essex lasting about 10 minutes with hail. No thunder.

Hopefully something will brew up as it is still very humid.

Kind Regards

Dave

Hmmm, possible thunder, the Australian Shepherd detector is currently in meltdown!

I am pleased to announce that the second I pulled my towels off the line and brought them in, it went dark and there was fat blobs o' rain. All very exciting

It's really gone 'calm before the storm' out there, but I doubt anything will happen despite lots of convective clouds going on.

Nothing here, it did turn cloudy for a while, still warm today with a high of 24C.

Very heavy shower just now, quite an intense core to it which changed colour just as it arrived!

Another lovely summer day here, 26C with sunny spells. Bit more wind and convection desperately tried to build something but failed.

Sitting in the garden having a beer sweating one out. Another sleepless muggy night no doubt

Not had a drop of rain this month unless I’m losing it - well tomorrow will sure and make up for it a washout in my neck of the woods says the E4.

After all that there was finally a torrential downpour this evening which I guess was welcome.

The heavy thundery rain stayed in France, some light rain did make it here for a little while. Other than that it's been a nice sunny warm day.

I thought I would beat the forecast rain by cutting the grass early this morning. The skies looked quite threatening but by around midday the cloud melted away to give unbroken sunshine until sunset.

Much breezier than it has been for a while here and cooler too with a Tmax 21.5c, but still a very decent summers day overall. The garden really could do with some rain now though.

Same here, I have straw not grass in my garden.

Already a leaden grey sky here. And it's absolutely dead calm with not even a leaf moving. Looking like a drab day ahead with dribs and drabs of rain until the heavy stuff arrives later - shown nicely on the radar just arriving on the west coast of the UK.

Arpege suggesting the heaviest rain moves through our Region late evening and into the early hours of Weds, with areas south of the M4 receiving up to 40mm in the next 24 hours.

Much cooler morning here (18C) with grey skies, looks like a wet afternoon and night to come with some very welcome rain. All clears away E by tomorrow morning and the sun should be back out. Very nice :)
