Heard a few rumbles here, but the main storm cell must have just missed us....radar showed some intense echoes around the area, just not quite in my backyard. Temps struggling with all the cloud and storminess around, stuck between 24-25c.

seems to be trying to rain now, just a few spots more off than on

Watching from my back garden the lightening as it heads your way in a band of rain. It's actually darker here now than when we had small amount of rain earlier with a few rumbles.

Same here; it's been rumbling away for the best part of an hour...Somewhere, slap, bang in the middle of nowhere, must be getting a right bashing!:wallbash:

Beautiful stunning day here. Hot and fairly sunny.

Infact sky turning more blue now. Currently 28c here

Not a drop of rain or thunderstorm as expected = perfect

Getting breezy here now, still darker skies to the north but bright sunshine overhead and to the south, I guess that's it for today, few rumbles and a spattering of rain, not enough to water the grass :nonono:

Juicy crop of storms just to the NW of you, some places look to have had a lot of rain in the last couple of hours according to the radar.

Yes, it's a strange formation.  FAX chart suggests it's an upper trough - certainly it's high-based; most of the strikes are IC rather than CG.

Considering I was correct in saying all the rain I had turned into thunderstorms once they had left my location, I want my money back. Clear skies and sun now.

Yeah watched them clip us but barely any rain even though radar was showing heavy rain over us for a while, but alas it really wasn't!

If nothing initiates between 1600-1800 I say it is time to call it a day. Until then need to remain patient I'm hopeful for once I can see growing convection. :bomb:

Latest (and probably last) is still rumbling away - originally high based, constant thunder but all IC, saw maybe 2 CGs after 30 mins or so. Compared to the first couple which were chucking out some lovely CGs a couple of hours earlier.

Most of the earlier stuff was further away from us so I couldn't be certain as to whether the strkes were IC or CG.  More rain as I type - the penultimate cell in the line is now passing through.

Correcting typo.

Very lively here over the last few minutes - IC strikres nearly overhead, pistol crack thunder and now torrential rain.

Hot and frustrated. T'other side of the channel is getting it's usual belter of a storm. Here, as far south east as you can go without getting wet, it's an absolute scorcher. Can't complain but I want my fundaah!
