Just back from Manchester, this morning in Manchester there was drizzle urggghh. When I got the train this evening and got off in London the sun was blazing and the temperature difference was notable too. I'm so glad to be home and just in time for some heat and storms too . :)

Not too bad, plenty of cloud but some suny spells as well. A high of 23C.

So it looks like we could see very warm conditions tomorrow through to and including Saturday. Thursday still looks like holding potential in seeing some thunderstorms break out, the other days look dry though an isolated shower is possible on Friday and late Saturday as the cold front moves through. Temperatures could get close to 30C on any of the next 4 days around the London area, though we will probably fall short just.

Beautiful warm and sunny start to the day here, sadly by mid morning the Atlantic muck rolled in. Didn't stop it being pleasantly warm (max of 24C) and the cloud thinned a bit later. Am too busy to enjoy the weather this week though, my Mum is moving home after 47 years, the place where I grew up in. So I'm frantically decorating the new place before the new carpets arrive tomorrow and the move happens on Thursday.

Good luck moving mate it's not easy saying goodbye to a place that holds so many memories

Thanks mate, we got a bit emotional about it as Mum was nervous about leaving and it's always been 'home' to me. Both know it's a good move though and love the new place :) All happened so fast.

Lovely morning here, looks like a few warm and sunny days to come, with chances of a storm or two, exciting stuff.

Fine and sunny start here which is a good sign considering the forecast of cloud and showers this morning. The models perhaps hinting that we could squeeze a very warm Sunday as well out of this along with another chance of thunderstorms.

Can't remember the last time the MetO forecast mentioned the word severe!

SE forecast for tomorrow:

Thunderstorms will become more widespread and probably locally severe with hail and large amounts of rainfall.

Let's see what the updated warning later this morning says but I can't help being a tiny bit excited :)

First though a hot day today!

Yes it is also strange when your parents move out of your childhood home if they have been there years.

I can guarantee it will storm tomorrow as I'm going back to work after week off  :sorry:. I think over the past month I've had to dodge the lightning on at least 3 separate occasions. Don't get me wrong I love a good storm but I don't like having to work outside in them :ninja:

It's a good omen, the ants have seen the forecast and are getting things sorted before the storms....:yahoo:

We had thunder flies in the garden last night.

Haven't seen them in along time.

A stunning summer day, as good as it gets really blue skies; very warm a lot warmer than late 28c. No flying ants in this patch oh dear no storms then.

Great day with sunny spells and just some fair weather cloud bubbling up. No wind at all until just a while ago when a gentle NE breeze has developed. A high of 26C so not a high as those in the south.

Tomorrow looks fun...

Absolutely stunning day here, hot and sunny. Perfect lead up to my holiday.

Great news seeing the lastest BBC weather with Philip Avery. Really playing down any heavy torrential rain tomorrow morning with

" Not expecting any great swathes of wet weather over the South East, wouldn't rule out the chance of damp weather in the SE Thursday morning , You may well here the odd rumble of thunder"

he then goes on to say

"risk of any showers in the SE  pushing north to leave another hot day"

However, more emphasis on thunderstorms for the north tomorrow afternoon :-)

Friday looking hot and dry as well.

Love it

Fab day at Hampton Court flower show yesterday, perfect weather, sunny and not too hot with a gentle breeze, back home to more of the same and a ton of gardening to catch up on after four days away :) Could do with a drop of rain again but preferably after I get the grass cut and a couple of fields topped....
