I think tonight's action has been played down. I think some people are going to see some big storms in the south east . Now looking at what's coming up from the channel right now !

5 minutes of torrential rain just pushed through, now gone out to sea. Really hope that lovely lot in the channel makes it here later, quite happy to be woken by some thunder and a decent light show.

I've got a feeling that I'm not going to get much sleep tonight as that lot on the otherside of the channel looks like its heading in this direction.

Just staying in a cottage a few miles from you in Ruckinge - I'm expecting to be woken up by the thunder later!

I know Ruckinge. I've a lot of ancestors in the churchyard there.....lol  I'm going to try and get an hours sleep now because when that lot hits later its going to last for hours.

Lots of brillant lightning flashes now more then 12 a minute off the coast of Seaford East Sussex. Fork and sheet. No rain yet.
