I'm probably being really thick asking this but is there an actual board/league table of how we're doing anywhere I can bookmark?

Phew! I needed a few points to get me back up the board a bit, as some of my previous months were way off of the mark. :D

Easy months now out the way, May to 0ct much harder, as obvious Dec to Mar above average

Personally, I don't think any month is easy. But, I do like to put my guess in 10 or 11 days early.

Unusually though for me, I guessed the easiest months Dec to Feb too low! and everyone knows my thoughts, didn't expect them to be as mild

Thanks to Netweather, who gave me a £50 Amazon voucher for winning the CET competition last year, I have a new weather station so I can now provide my own monthly stats!!!

Max temp 21.5C

Min temp 1.2C

Average 11.1C (pretty good!)

Rainfall 12.2mm (drought!)

Noteworthy stat: 23 days without any rain between 4th April and 26th April!

I definitely got all my luck in last year - bit of a disaster so far this time round!!

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming.
