I've just done a quick check of my station records..

1.4mm fell in under one minute. 2.8mm in two minutes, and 3.8mm in three minutes. 145.8mm/hr rain rate.

Just been watching the storm on your webcam, although my internet is slow so it wasn't completely smooth but saw some nice flashes.

I just saw a flash in the sky and I must be 80+ miles away from that line of storms! whoa.

Yeah, That's down to my end. I have to set a  delay of 800ms on it, because my upload speed is too poor to cater for more than a few people viewing it. If and when I get fibre (this side of 2020) i'll make it a fully live stream at 1080p

Wow, fell asleep for three hours and now it looks like a rerun of July 23 2013! Frequent lightning here and thunder getting louder.

Can see the sky flashing away to my south-west from here near Oxford. Nice to look on the lightning map and see an overnight MCS moving across the UK for once instead of France/Germany.

Can see a massive storm of to the west well into the distance. Some one is getting an amazing show!! Looking at the radar the nearest storm is 80 miles away.... is it possible to see that from Easr Surrey?

I can't see how to edit my post with new netweather. Flashes are S and SSE (not SW) thumbs up symbol.  Warm and windy while I'm at it!  SW Wales.

clear skies from 30 mins ago have been replaced my thickening mid-level cloud......and sadly it looks as if these storms are weakening....a lot less lightning visible than 30 mins ago and a lot less sferics being detected....nooooooo!

Deffo getting closer, can see the cloud structure with some of the flashes, and very muffled audible thunder...

it might well be the cloud cover we have now is making previous strikes not being visible here now........as I speak, more sferics popping up frome/westbury/warminster....25 miles from me so fingers crossed!

edit, more storms firing over the english channel
