Nowhere near of course, but it's great when our patience is rewarded with a show like this!

Was just thinking that myself. This is probably one of the best displays I've seen UK wide, let alone Cornwall!

Same here!

Looks at least on par with the storm over Bournemouth in July 2015.

Yes was looking at the webcams thinking that. It headed up over Salisbury after and for a time was the most intense/frequent lightning I've seen a uk bred storm. Certainly will be impressive for anyone who hasn't experienced that sort of lightning before!

It's the most active thing in the whole of Europe :D Brilliant stuff, why am I watching it when I'm about 300 miles away? Desperate, that's what I am....

Is it just my eyes deceiving me or on the radar run back from 0035 to now, is there a hook echo right in the middle of that line of storms?

Feeling very much like a continental European storm we often watch on the webcams this. Delightful display this. What a treat. :D

Really need to get some sleep, but this is fascinating. Having said that, there is a *chance* that I may see something similar in the late afternoon/evening. We shall see.  But that Cornwall storm is insane!

Now that must be a pretty severe storm, might turn into an MCS as it does move further NW. If that is the case we may see new storms form to the SE.

They're mid-levels storms, just lots of electrical activity.
