Can't see where the risk is for the east tbh, something dramatic will have to happen (can I be bothered to head to the east coast on a faint whim? Unlikely) Bed seems to be the more likely outcome!

WTF have I just seen, quite possibly the longest horizontal lightning known to man, left to right followed by a very long and deep peel of thunder, it's not a fantastic storm but it beats sleep lol

Which direction was it?

can you post the link...

My site is in my signature. My webcam is not 100% live, there's an 800ms refresh rate due to my poor upload speed, so infrequent lightning will be missed on it. I can only view it 100% live within my LAN.

Absolutely gutted, was looking forward to a good night storm. Can't see it getting to where I am.

Yeah same here in Poole, thunder and lightning ever 2 minutes or so but not showing on the lightening detector.

Driving rain here and huge gusts from a cell that just erupted. Currently over the top of Bognor.

Radar showing heavier stuff over us, but the ground is barely damp. Maybe a lot of evaporation on the way down?

For those who arn't seeing their strikes being detected, just use an AM radio and you'll hear every strike on that before the thunder .

Some extremely long crawlers going through the main rain, probably why people are hearing thunder without seeing sferics plotted on them.

Wow.... simply remarkable, shame it's not heading north, seems most of the storm will funnel through the gap between England and France.
