Heavy rains arrived now here south London, well ahead of any thunder and lightning to the south, could be all we get, as usual.

No detectors seem to be picking up the lightning around here, not even my own when the CG hit. It's still thundering too.

Thing with lightning detectors is that they can sometimes be miles off.

Keep hearing thunder here despite only a few strikes showing.

WTF have I just seen, quite possibly the longest horizontal lightning known to man, left to right followed by a very long and deep peel of thunder, it's not a fantastic storm but it beats sleep lol

Raining big drops now n wind got right up. Its here!  Finally Gona got a storm!

Well it's about to start raining at the very least. Think I'll give it another hour and if nothing significant has happened, call it a night.

Lightning detectors are having trouble keeping up, so many strikes and the system is huge.

Seems to be a lot just off the coast but some are between here and Bournemouth as well.

Yep every few minutes now and not showing on any detectors.

I have a pal in Blandford Forum who says he is having a great storm, but I can't see anything over his way on lightning maps either.
