Rapid development NW of Cherbourg over the past 15 min and with a slight bow structure to the peak intensities - could be an outflow boundary?

Lol. I know what you mean. I used to be terrified of storms when I was younger. Now I find them fascinating and it's been very interesting learning more about them, though that being said, I know the chances are really low, but I always get paranoid that lightning will strike my house when there is a storm. Silly thing to worry about I know but it is what it is!

I think I only really got terrified of storms when there was one that struck about 100m away from me in 2004. You do not want to hear that sound in bed at 6am when you're already oversensitive to noise...!

So I put the toddler to bed In Our room tonight because his room faces south west and is always pretty good in these kind of MCS situations. So it's a double whammy for me if this busts because I'm going to have to sleep in a cot bed if nothing comes of it. (And have set the camera and GoPro up too....)

fingers crossed. I think this (the first big cell) might not be the one for me tonight, I think others will pop up and I'll catch a homegrown.

As long as you're prepared to stay up past 2 am.... you should see something!

I have work tomorrow but I haven't seen the potential for a storm this good in a long time so I'll be staying up and waiting it out!

Strikes showing up close to Brighton now - possibly in earshot if anyone's in the area?

I've done worse, I took him on a chase when he was a couple of weeks old! tbh I'd be out in the car with a stream running tonight, but bank holiday = wine, so I'm hoping it comes to me!

Don't think we will see anything here in Worcester tonight but the SE is in for a wonderful light show and hope you all enjoy the show, BBC used the words MASSIVE storms possible for the West Midlands area tomorrow..... :-/ not sure how accurate that is but hopeful :-)
