Nothing wrong with that!

Funny thing is I don't like the storms but I love the excitement on here, the photography that can sometimes come out of an event like this... and all the updating on where the action is, even if in my case it serves as a warning to go into bat mode and hide under a duvet with headphones on and the world hopefully off. (I'm autistic, and find loud noises and flashing light overwhelming most of the time. Unpredictability makes them worse, so storm tracking really helps me!)

Lol. I know what you mean. I used to be terrified of storms when I was younger. Now I find them fascinating and it's been very interesting learning more about them, though that being said, I know the chances are really low, but I always get paranoid that lightning will strike my house when there is a storm. Silly thing to worry about I know but it is what it is!

I can confirm seeing flashes to my S - bit depressing that they seem petty due S (though radar suggests they can't be). Getting more excited now - camera with shutter release on tripod, ready to go. Insect repellant coated on too :D

ps - just seen how many members on! Feels like it's storm fever :D

Absolutely clear and calm here. I'm really hoping we get something tonight.

Would appear that I am a mere ten miles or so west  away from the action.... lightning just heading towards brighton.

Looks like strikes becoming more widespread in the channel now.

Yep definitely. Look at the line of cells in the Cotentin Peninsula ahead of the main area of activity which has sprung up in the last 15 minutes.

Got the camera prepped and ready here, popped out earlier to recce a nearby suitable and safe photography spot with great views to the south and east. Should be able to get a few decent lightning pictures if luck is on my side.

Where ya headed?

Well, even in the south west humidity is 83% and the wind direction ENE . There is what I think a rain band coming up east of Plymouth looking like it could clip my way .

There is a satellite picture takin 15 mins ago showing just how large the mass is .. amazing .

hope those of you storm chasing stay safe - but enjoy !
