Think W country may miss out this time. Storms seem to be heading for SE areas. I think line east of weymouth is a good call from AJ earlier.

But as always...anything could crop up. Shame I can't go out driving tonight as things look ripe for some fun and games down there.

Are you looking at the wider picture? You need to zoom in if so....

Don't like being in the actionless middle bit there

Doesn't mean you won't 'see' anything though. Friday night's lightning was visible up to 100 miles away due to them being elevated storms and the light show was awesome.

Chris K ; expect further developments (rapidly once they begin) from what is already present and even moreso once the plume air reaches the South coast as happened Friday night.

Tom Dewey ; calm down! Be patient. It's a rare situation out in our home town right now, extremely still and humid.

I think you're in with a good chance of seeing a storm tonight. Get your camera ready!

If the BBC forecasts are anything to go by, anywhere in the south is in with a chance tonight. Wouldn't lose hope just yet.

Wouldn't Recommend British Airways at the moment

I flew back from Barcelona Monday over a massive Pyreneean storm. I hate flying, but it was just a bit like driving down a bumpy road
