Once this heat settles in, is there any chance of triggers in the SE?

Wasn't expecting that. the was the loudest I've heard in a long time my puppy just had her first storm and done really well considering she's never heard it before bit of blue sky  showing now but very warm.

Back of the cloud passing overhead now. Very nice little storm to start the day, with some good thunder. :)

Yes! Got a lovely view of that line of showers coming up from the channel. Will post up some pictures in a few minutes. A few visible local strikes and some nice rumbles, about 15 minutes of on/off convective rain. What a bonus as the forecasts only saw this from about 9pm last night and I was sceptical! Hoping for something more prolonged but I'll take T&L wherever I can!

Yes, we had a couple of distant rumbles from two strikes about 7 miles from us towards the M1

LOL storms in the totally wrong place.

Nothing here to report from sunny Sheffield a bit of heavy rain round meadowhead roundabout just light at home a mile or so away. Clearing away now.

Errr nope it hasn't one of the times that the radar is fibbing slightly. Amazing how fast it's decayed looked like we were in a good soaking and now the sun is trying to come out.

Worth saying it is only 10:15am with those areas in the slight warning not forecast to get their slice of the action until later when the sun gets to work. Just need this claggy front to bugger off to Scotland and then the real fun and games can begin :)

Not a bad little storm here a little earlier. A fair amount of IC lightning also saw two wicked CG's. A lightning strike also hit an old barn which caught alight out camber way.
Sun is out again now, temperature and humidity rising!

Quick question for the experts, this trough that has now passed me, are we now in this 'warm sector' that estofex are referring to, or was that just before the trough? I.e Norwich, Lincolnshire and the rest of the places before it?
