Well, here in Weston-super-Mare, we got battered. Was amazing! Loads of loud bangs and rumbles, not much in the way of visible 'fork' lightning, oh and slight biblical rain.

The drain in our back garden turned into a weird garden feature too. That was one amazing storm.

That's a cracking good rumble of thunder !

Belgium and NE France lighting up like a Christmas tree as usual. That one near Boulogne could creep into Kent soon.

Seems like initiation is so far all occuring to my West heading into Wales. Some nice towers going up.

Not sure what to make of the showers heading out France. Unsure whether they will keep active by later on this evening.

Some Cu bubbling to my S now. Also can see the anvils of those continental cells. Little bit frustrating really.

Banking on new development to the south now, since these cells along the convergence boundary still haven't got their act together. Satellite looks promising and observations from others in the group seem to confirm the possibility. NMM from this morning also agrees with this evolution, having the northern cells die out as new ones initiate in the south around 18z.

Interesting, I'm 3 miles from Hastings pier and under blue skies though it is clouding over to my south.

Walking the dog out in the far SE now and can see the towers to my south. Fairly bad picture in the hazy sunshine but I'll post another as the get closer. Can't hear any rumbles yet but that's the active system on radar currently over NW France/Belgium.

I can see more showers/storms developing ahead of the main area across the channel in the next hour or 2 across the SE moving NNW!

That one was fairly mild compared to some of the others. Am very pleased with how it all turned out today, finally getting a decent proper storm. :D
