Getting quite stormy here in Kent right now, going to go for a walk to see if there is any damage and to experience this strong gusty wind for myself.

Awful news

Terrible. I really hope this shows as a warning sign for what's happening and keeps everyone inside safe from it all.

Its getting bad here now, wheelie bin from a neighbour is currently taking itself for a walk down the road, all my garden furniture is down and slowly shifting across the garden every gust

We are getting hit pretty hard in Haverhill at present with trees down, power cables closing the A143 near me and Haverhill High Street is closed due to a roof being blown off.

It's wild out there!!!

Just popped to the shop for my lunch, loads of small branches down, was very wary when walking under trees. Not seen winds like this in the UK for years.

Hi all.

I am travelling by van from Brighton to East London at 4pm.  I see London is just in the Amber zone but are things meant to have calmed down by then?

Thanks :)

The A17 in my area is not the place to be report of a overturned lorry on the A17 at Swineshead and also a over turned lorry near the Kirby lane turning a few miles away just now, loads of trees down and powercuts across the area mainly in the Boston & Grantham areas

Really ramped up over the last hour. Few trees down and a constant roaring. Could be a lively afternoon.
