Are these accurate? or has Doris taken a more southerly path

Wind seems to be ramping up here after a calmer period

yes it is further south but the image was to show at the centre of any  low you get the calmer conditions with lighter winds. The worst of the winds in SW quadrant, which earlier in the week were forecast to hit s.Cumbria, now shifted down . Still across the Wirrel but reaching further into the Midlands , (still more for Chesterfield) even into  southern England.  Shows how Forecasting something like this needs a bit of text explanation about how it could vary, not just hourly forecast data.

Obviously no where near as bad here but it's still very gusty. A few bricks holding plastic down on the shed roof have blown off and smashed on the ground but nothing else seems to have been affected.

Just been up to Flash in Peak District and wind is roaring there. Couldn't stand up. Wintry mix as well. However as soon as you are back in Leek it is oddly calm.

Pressure has risen in the last few hours from 979 to 984mb now. Think the worst is coming through here now. No trains going past on the west coast mainline across the field from me, due to power failure. No flickering lights here though. Yet.

More than 600 properties are currently without power in Stockport and Macclesfield.

Homes on Hilton Road, Middlewood Road, Shrigley Road North in Poynton and Hazel Grove are without electricity after flying debris has brought overhead lines down. A fallen tree damaged a power line in Macclesfield leaving homes in Colshaw Lane, Congleton Lane, Falters Lane and Home Chapel Road without power.

If you can fart at 60mph i'd suggest ether seeing a doctor or contacting the guiness book of records

Or just checking the seat of your pants and the people behind you......

Merseyside is getting battered at the moment. Lots of trees etc coming down and road closures. Doesnt seem to be letting up at all. One plane couldnt land at Manchester or Liverpool and was diverted to Leeds.

Really glad I'm not trying to land at Manchester today - that would have had me making all sorts of deals with God, the angels and even my stroppy sister.  Notice UAE17 has been around in tight circles several times now.  I feel for those on board!

Definitely v windy in East Cheshire-trunks of large Oaks moving slightly. Gusts seem to be picking up so possibly not quite at peak yet-bit concerned for when winds back to NW which is often worse for this location. 4-5 degrees C. Some sleetiness-heaviest rain seems to have passed.
