This is impressive I can hear the roof slates on top rattling and the building is shaking. Gusts are about 60-65mph at current. I wouldn't like to be in the radio city tower right now

Tree blocking the Wrexham to Bidston railway line at Caergwle. Just had a few more strong gusts 40 to 50 would be my estimate.

Fairly average here too. Gusts strong at times but not a consistant wind. Had breezier days. That said strongest winds not due yet...but if the outerbands nothing special.

At last, Doris goes to the top of the BBC website, finally dislodging "eat 10 veg and fruit a day for longer life" from the headline position.

Suprised they havnt got a live page yet, especially now that London is in the amber.

Capel Curig just recorded a 94mph gust at 0908, the low center has yet to 'bomb' further over the next coming hours as it moves further inland and situated over Cumbria this moment. The windfield well into N.Wales and Merseyside with Staffs/Cheshire bearing the brunt soon if not already.

48mph gust and 23mph wind speed recorded at my station this morning. I'm quite impressed with that, it ties in with the MetO's forecast perfectly. :)

Winds here have picked up significantly since around 9:00, will be a difficult drive down the M55 with the cross winds, especially for high sided vehicles, take care everyone.

As soon as I finish this, the winds drop right off almost calm like, even with some clear sky too, storm centre possibly?
