Had a thunderstorm starting around 1:30am and lasting over an hour :D , extremely heavy rain came in pulses - most of the thunder and lightning towards the end of the storm.

Same here Nick although I got about 15 mins before, decent storm, the best for a month though.

The rain came down very hard and with gusts as well of strong wind making it look that bit more impressive.

Stil needed that thunderstorm,to get over missing so many.

We had torrential rain which lasted about 30mins from about 11ish

We just had some more torrential rain but with a couple rumbles of thunder, and a couple flashes of lightning.....it's still rainin' and a bit of thunder still. :D

Hopefully, there'll be more to come later on

Just had a cracking little cell here :D:wink:

Gale force gusts, 4 rumbles of thunder and 2 overhead flashes of white lightning that showed up superbly on a very black cloud :D:D . Not really heavy rain here but it seemed to be torrential just about 200 yards away

Now bright and sunny again :D Storm moved off towards mid Wiltshire.

That cell was pretty slow moving, so I was able to see two brilliantly lit CG strikes. The pulse of rain was short-lived, but pretty hefty and the rumblings were almost constant at one point.

I think Glasgow will be enjoying a fantastic light show, if that was just the trailing edge I got.

You lucky people!!!

Here's what was on its way (hope I linked it right)

HAHAHAH SENT HOME FROM WORK!!!

THE PLACE IS FLOODED!!!

I have seen the heaviest rain I have ever seen, it was unbelievable, the streets and places about including my work got flooded

CG lightning and defining thunder was very frequent.

What a year for storms!!!

Yep Robert, if you were in or around central Glasgow I can well believe that! Saw the bulk of it heading your way and wished I was there

All we seem to be seeing here are storms forming and moving away, or litterally just catching its edge as it passes by.

A few rumbles of thunder heard at 3 o'clock.

The skies gradually got darker, then the heavens opened.

Heavy rain, almost continuous thunder and several flashes.

Eased off about 5 minutes ago, and seems to have passed.

However there's another bank of dark cloud heading this way.

I can still hear thunder from previous storm.

Fab - yer a good sport for sending it up! Posted a few pics in the gallery, of the cell that literally passed in front my house earlier.
