Very interesting update, still much to be decided as to what happens yet,but that offers a little window into their thoughts ,all we can do is wait and see how the downwelling truely plays out .

JUDAH Cohan twitter"Clearly the GFS reads the AO blog because latest GFS is predicting, exactly two weeks after a major #polarvortex disruption, an amplified western ridge/eastern trough with a sharp turn to colder & snowier weather in Eastern US. Models struggle post PV disruption so far from given"

This confuses me as i thought it was predicting western states cold, Eastern not as cold. Euro/Asia cold?

Significant in what sense Griff?

Probably struggling with it himself

I think he suggested it would delay things?

To be honest each event seems so unique, who knows?

Latest from Marco p..SPV clung on to a WSTLY wind circulating around it at mean strength 1.04m/s.

Still awaiting confirmation but its pretty much guaranteed to have reversed ESTLY at 10pha..today's forecast mean -4m/s.

It looks like the Vortex even though its been stretched and displaced is still intact after this warming. But Marco pointing out a secondary warming looking likely next week..Basically its having a hard time.

Isn't it just typical though that we manage to only be around average to slighly below in the Western part of the uk. It wouldn't take much for that to change for the better mind.

Who is this PV-forecast? as you say Griff he hasn't stopped.

Denis (possibly Dennis) from Norway / Netherlands, and is more obsessed than anyone here, that said he is a member but I've not seen him post on NW since last year.

Lovely fellow, but like all of us should be taken with a pinch of salt. Lives and breaths this, and takes every run as gospel.
