I get bored and sometimes I post tweets here, either because they confuse, interest or amuse me...

    This one, I'm still pondering...

    Can't possibly be wrong...

This is what we need mid November...

Pre November you can attribute it to the low ice numbers & warm lower troposphere-

Mid November in particular post the 15th the average zonal wind on average moves North of 30 M\S & will happily over ride earlier -AO patterns.

This is when we need some upward disturbance of the PV ...

Seriously.  Not often we see this from Glosea.

Might be worth looking at the replies to the tweeted image before folks get carried away?!

Exactly, but nevertheless it's an interesting day on many levels, but feet firmly on the ground. It's not like we ever get carried away for nothing? 😜

I don't think anyone on here for any length of time will be getting carried away.

Far to many let downs in the past for that, and until it's snowing outside my window, I won't believe a word of it.

As excited as i want to be, i remind you all of 2016 and 2017 which both had delayed vortex rapidity. Far too early to get excited perhaps beyond November.

Absolutely.  There was a lot of hope/interest for a front loaded 2016/17 winter and it turned out to be a duffer!  Trying to keep feet firmly on the ground. 😐

    Death and taxes... Predictable innit?

    Denis tweeting perhaps prematurely?

Just a blip with more blocking to follow or the beginning of the end? 🤔
