Poor Greece!  Hope that STC doesn’t cause too much peril. The weather can be so moody sometimes.

 Liam Dutton - Weatherman replied

October: CFSv2 sees anomalous mid-Atlantic/Azores ridge --> anomalous NW flow to British Isles. N'ward displaced storm track brings drier than average conditions... ...but look at those cool temperature anomalies for most of Europe!

It looks as though the @metoffice three-month contingency temperature forecast may have a less likely outcome coming to fruition. A trickier time of year to get right with tropical trouble in the Atlantic and elsewhere...

Interesting that while waiting for the Atlantic tropical storm/hurricane Leslie to possibly affect the UK it looks like there might be more effect from Pacific ex-hurricane Rosa which helps fuel a deep low over northeastern Canada and strengthens the jet and shifts the vortex over the northwest Atlantic.
