So ironically it might be the GFS that is being overly progressive w/regards to the Easterly. We see this quite often actually, models do tend to bring in cold a little earlier than what happens in reality, just like it does with breakdowns. 

Don't be too disappointed if the GFS pushes the Easterly back a little. 18z time.
