    Hi Stu,

I didn't put a hotel address down and was accepted no problem. Left it blank.

Just a reminder to newbies who haven't been to the States before be careful not to get fleeced by some of the money making ESTA Agency sites. Always apply direct for the best price. Should be around $14. Here is the link to the correct site: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/application.html?execution=e1s1

    'Pending Authorization'

Interesting. Never had that before. Must be  because my mother is Mexican and my grandfather is a Zulu ;)

Anyone else got a 'pending' ?

I was pending too after my application. I logged out and back in and I was accepted! :-)

My ESTA application was accepted within a five minutes of making payment. Only 34 days now until I fly out, can't wait.

Remember that the ESTA lasts for 2 years, if you did it last year it will still be valid now!

Unless your passport runs out like mine in mid-Jan 2018, so I guess would have to apply again if I'm going to the U.S. next year.

Yep. I had to do the same when my passport took a trip to the washing machine.

I checked on Monday and it was there. I must admit I expected an e-mail confirmation but nothing. Have printed it out so all good
